Gympie airfield & regional information
Gympie Airport (YGYM) is a well serviced and maintained facility owned and operated by the Gympie Regional Council. By road it is situated 35 minutes north of Noosa and 10 minutes south of Gympie off the Old Bruce Highway.
The field is in uncontrolled airspace. The surrounding area provides for some spectacular flying over the Mary Valley, Fraser Island, the Cooloola Coast and Noosa's North Shore.
There are aircraft maintenance facilities and easy access to local services and shopping.
Gympie Airport is also home to Cumulus Airpark Aviation Community, a staged development currently under construction. This private community provides direct access to the runway. Simply push your aircraft out the hangar
door and you're ready to go.
